Start with access and ground conditions
Measure gates, passages and turns at their narrowest points. Note steps, slopes, soft ground and overhead restrictions. Compare these measurements with the current product specification before enquiring.
Describe the material and task
- Digging: describe the depth, length and material to be removed
- Breaking: identify concrete, masonry or another material and its thickness
- Moving spoil: estimate the quantity and where it needs to go
Plan the whole sequence
A job may involve excavation, moving material, breaking and compaction. List each stage so we can check whether the published plant, attachments and supporting equipment fit the plan.
Details to send with an enquiry
- The site postcode and hire dates
- The narrowest access measurement and any turns or steps
- Photos of the working area and material
- The approximate depth, distance or volume involved
- Any attachments or supporting equipment you think may be needed
We can only confirm a suitable option after checking the job details against the current equipment specification and stock.
Common questions
Will a micro digger fit through my gate?+
Measure the full route at its narrowest point, including the gate opening angle and turns. Compare it with the current product specification or send the measurement to us.
Will a digger wreck my lawn?+
Tracked plant can mark or damage lawns and surfaces. Ground conditions, machine weight and the route all matter, so discuss protection and access before booking.
Do I need training to use a mini digger?+
Competence and site requirements vary. Tell us about the operator and location so the relevant requirements can be confirmed before booking.
